Miles Overview
The 2017 Santa Fe Sport is Hyundai's five-passenger midsize SUV, slotting between the compact Tucson and the three-row Santa Fe. It competes with the Ford Edge, Honda Passport, and Nissan Murano in the midsize two-row crossover segment. The turbocharged engine gives the Santa Fe Sport genuinely quick acceleration, and the steering is direct enough to make it feel smaller than it is. The ride is on the firm side, which helps handling but means you'll feel sharper bumps on broken pavement. Cargo space is generous for the class, and the rear seats fold nearly flat to swallow bulky items. With 240 horsepower from its 2.0L I4, this Ultimate is the quickest Santa Fe Sport you can get, and front-wheel drive keeps weight down for sharper handling. The Ultimate comes standard with a power liftgate and heated front seats, and the 19-inch wheels give it a planted feel at highway speeds.
