Miles Overview
The Santa Fe Sport is Hyundai's five-passenger mid-size SUV, the one you cross-shop with the Ford Edge and Nissan Murano. It's a composed highway cruiser, and the steering feels light and easy around town. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade for how steady it feels over uneven pavement. The cabin is roomy for four adults, and the rear seats fold flat to open up a generous cargo area. The base 2.4L engine and front-wheel drive are standard, but this 2.0T Base adds four-wheel drive for extra traction in snow or mud. Its 2.4L I4 makes 185 horsepower and works with a six-speed automatic, which is enough for daily driving but feels a bit strained on steep grades. Fuel economy is decent for an SUV at 22 mpg combined, and the standard rearview camera helps when backing out of tight spots.
