Miles Overview
The 2025 Kia Sorento is a midsize three-row SUV that slots between the Sportage and Telluride, offering a more family-friendly alternative to the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. The Sorento's steering is light and its ride is composed, making it an easy SUV to drive around town, though the base engine can feel a bit sluggish when loaded. Inside, the Sorento features a modern cabin with available dual 12.3-inch displays, and its third row is best suited for children, as is typical in this class. With the third row folded, the Sorento offers generous cargo space, and the available hands-free power liftgate makes loading gear easier. The LX is the straightforward pick for budget-conscious families, skipping the S's extra style and convenience features to keep the starting price low. Its 2.5L Gas Direct Injection (GDI) 4-Cyl Engine makes 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque, paired with a eight-speed automatic and front-wheel drive that routes power to the front wheels for a relaxed daily commute, earning 26 mpg combined.
