Miles Overview
The Sorento is Kia's three-row midsize SUV, a family hauler that's a common pick alongside the Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot. It drives with a composed, car-like feel that's easy to live with, though the base engine can feel a bit sluggish when you need quick acceleration. The cabin is a real highlight for the price, with upscale materials and a big touchscreen that owners love for its seamless Bluetooth and crisp navigation. Reliability is generally solid, but a few owners have hit AC and sunroof glitches that were fixed under warranty. The EX adds the 2.0L I4 and a bigger touchscreen over the LX, while skipping the SX Limited's extra luxury touches. Its 2.0L I4 makes 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to all four wheels, and it returns 22 mpg combined. This EX's all-wheel drive and five seats make it a capable year-round family hauler, with 73.5 cubic feet of cargo space when the rear seats fold.
