Miles Overview
The 2017 Sorento is a midsize three-row SUV that slots between the compact Sportage and the larger Telluride in Kia's crossover lineup. It competes with the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and Ford Explorer, offering a more affordable entry point with a long warranty. The Sorento drives with a composed, car-like feel, though the four-cylinder can hesitate under quick acceleration. Inside, the cabin impresses with upscale materials and a roomy second row, plus available third-row seating for seven. Reliability is generally solid, with some owners reporting air-conditioning and minor interior issues that were often covered under warranty. Its 2.0L I4 makes 240 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, delivering a composed ride that feels confident on wet roads. This EX can be optioned with a third-row seat, turning it into a seven-passenger SUV with 73.0 cubic feet of cargo space behind the first row.
