Miles Overview
The 2012 Sorento is Kia's mid-size SUV, a practical choice for families who want room for people and gear without stepping up to a full-size hauler. It rides smoothly and feels stable on the highway, with a composed demeanor that makes daily driving easy and comfortable. Some owners have dealt with A/C issues and a battery that died early, but these were often covered under warranty and not major headaches. The LX is the entry trim for the Sorento, but this one adds all-wheel drive and the optional 3.5L V6 for more capability than the base four-cylinder front-driver. The 3.5L V6 makes 276 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, giving you confident passing power and 20 mpg combined. With all-wheel drive and five seats, this LX is a practical choice for snowy climates, though you give up the third row that higher trims offer.
