Miles Overview
The Sorento is Kia's mid-size SUV, a three-row family hauler that competes with the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. It rides smoothly and handles predictably, with a composed feel that makes it easy to drive every day. The cabin is roomy and practical, with a large cargo area that easily swallows bikes or gear for a weekend trip. Some owners have dealt with minor issues like a leaking A/C hose or steering fluid, though these were often covered under warranty. The LX is the value pick in the Sorento lineup, skipping the V6 of the EX and SX to keep the price low. Its 2.4L I4 makes 191 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic driving the front wheels, returning 24 mpg combined. The LX comes with five seats instead of the optional third row, which means more cargo room behind the second row.
