Miles Overview
The X4 is BMW's compact fastback SUV, a sportier take on the X3 with a coupe-like roofline. It handles with the poise of a sedan, feeling agile and planted through corners, though rear visibility is compromised by the sloping roof. Inside, the cabin uses quality materials, and the front seats are comfortable, but rear headroom is tight for taller passengers. Cargo space is below average for the class, and the small opening makes loading bulky items a challenge. The xDrive30i is the sensible pick if you want the X4's looks without the M40i's higher price and thirst. The only way to get a panoramic moonroof or a head-up display is on this trim, and both are worth adding.
