2007 Toyota Tundra SR5

The Tundra is Toyota's full-size pickup, the one that goes up against the Ford F-150 and Chevy Silverado. It's a comfortable cruiser that feels stable and planted on the highway, with a ride that's more sedan-like than you'd expect from a big truck. The cabin is roomy and well laid out, with plenty of headroom and legroom for four adults, and the controls are easy to reach. Owners report the Tundra as very reliable, with many saying the usual wear items like ball joints and steering racks never needed attention, though some mention recalls for frame rust and airbags. The standard cloth seats and basic infotainment mark the SR5 as the work-ready entry point, a step below the leather-lined Limited. The base 4.0L V6 makes 236 horsepower, and with rear-wheel drive and an automatic transmission, it's honest power that feels adequate for daily hauling without the V8's fuel thirst. The SR5's ride is a bit choppier unladen than the Limited's, but you get a simpler, more repairable truck that trades luxury for lower cost of entry.
