Miles Overview
The Tundra is Toyota's full-size pickup, the one that goes up against the Ford F-150 and Chevy Silverado. It's a comfortable cruiser that feels stable and planted on the highway, with a ride that's more sedan-like than you'd expect from a big truck. The cabin is roomy and well laid out, with plenty of headroom and legroom for four adults, and the controls are easy to reach. Owners report the Tundra as very reliable, with many saying the usual wear items like ball joints and steering racks never needed attention, though some mention recalls for frame rust and airbags. It uses a 4.7L V8 making 276 horsepower and a automatic transmission, powering the rear wheels, which feels steady for daily driving and light hauling. You can get a towing package with a transmission cooler on the SR5, which boosts its max tow rating to a solid figure for a half-ton truck.
