Miles Overview
The 2004 Tacoma is Toyota's compact pickup, a smaller truck that's easy to park and maneuver in the city. It's a simple, honest truck to drive, with a ride that's smooth on pavement and confident on dirt roads. The cabin is snug, especially with four people, but there are plenty of cup holders and storage nooks for a small truck. Owners praise the Tacoma's dependability and ease of maintenance, with many reporting high miles and few real problems. The PreRunner is the two-wheel-drive Tacoma with the wider stance and taller ride of the 4x4, so you get the look without the weight or the low-range gearing. Its 3.4L V6 makes 190 horsepower and is paired with a four-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, and it'll get 16 mpg combined on regular gas.
