Miles Overview
The Tacoma is Toyota's compact pickup, a favorite for its toughness and off-road capability. It's easy to drive and not overly huge, so it feels nimble in town and confident on the trail. The cabin offers plenty of storage cubbies and cup holders, though rear-seat space is tight in the Access Cab. Owners report the Tacoma is dependable and easy to maintain, with many racking up high miles without trouble. Four-wheel drive and a five-speed manual set the Tacoma PreRunner apart from the base two-wheel-drive model, giving you genuine off-road capability from the factory. The 2.7L I4 makes 159 horsepower and 183 lb-ft of torque, enough for daily driving and light hauling, and the manual transmission lets you wring the most out of it on the trail.
