Miles Overview
The Tacoma is Toyota's compact pickup, a smaller truck that's easy to maneuver in town and on tight trails. It's a truck that feels light on its feet, with a ride that's smooth for a pickup and steering that's direct enough for daily driving. The bed is sturdy and surprisingly roomy, and the cab offers plenty of storage nooks for gear, though rear seats in the Access Cab are snug for adults. Owners report these trucks lasting well past 100,000 miles with only minor issues like faded paint or worn trim, making them a dependable choice. The PreRunner gives you the lifted stance and off-road suspension of a 4x4 without the transfer case, so it rides higher than a base Deluxe but stays lighter and simpler. Its 3.4L V6 makes 190 horsepower and 220 lb-ft of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic that shifts smoothly around town, though fuel economy is 16 mpg combined.
