Miles Overview
This is Toyota's full-size three-row SUV, the one to cross-shop against the Chevrolet Tahoe and Ford Expedition. It drives with the confident, planted feel you'd expect from a big Toyota, and the steering is light enough for easy parking-lot maneuvers. The ride is smooth and quiet on the highway, and the second-row captain's chairs are genuinely comfortable for adults. Inside, you get a roomy cabin with huge center consoles, and the rear A/C controls and DVD player are a hit with families. Cloth seats and a simpler stereo mark the SR5 as the entry point, with the Limited adding leather and a moonroof above it. Its 5.7L V8 makes 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to the rear wheels, and it returns 15 mpg combined. You can order the SR5 with four-wheel drive, which adds a low-range transfer case for serious trail capability.
