Miles Overview
The 2017 Highlander is a three-row family SUV that slots between the compact RAV4 and the larger Sequoia. It competes with the Honda Pilot, Ford Explorer, and Nissan Pathfinder in the mid-size crossover segment. The Highlander drives smoothly and quietly, though its size makes it feel heavy on the road. The cabin offers generous space for seven or eight passengers, with a practical third row that folds flat. Owners report strong reliability and few mechanical issues, making it a trusted choice for families. Leather trim, a heated steering wheel, and the larger infotainment screen set the Limited Platinum apart from the Limited below it. Its 3.5L V6 makes 295 horsepower and pairs with an automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, giving you smooth, confident passing power.
