Miles Overview
The 2016 Highlander is Toyota's three-row family SUV, slotting between the compact RAV4 and the larger Sequoia. It competes with the Honda Pilot, Ford Explorer, and Nissan Pathfinder in the crowded mid-size crossover segment. The Highlander drives smoothly and quietly, with a composed ride that makes long trips easy. Inside, the cabin is roomy and versatile, with a fold-flat third row that expands cargo space when needed. The Limited adds leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power liftgate, and a sunroof over the XLE. Its 3.5L V6 makes 231 horsepower and pairs with an automatic transmission driving the front-wheel drive, delivering smooth, quiet acceleration for daily driving. The Limited can be ordered with the available Driver Technology Package, which adds a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert.
