Miles Overview
The Sequoia is Toyota's full-size SUV, built to take on the Suburban and Expedition with room for eight. It rides smoothly and quietly, feeling more car-like than its size suggests, though its bulk shows in tight spots. Inside, you get a spacious cabin with a third row that folds flat, plus handy touches like a power rear window. Owners report this generation as dependable over the long haul, with common gripes being the rear window motor and liftgate latch. Cloth seats and manual air conditioning mark the SR5 as the value pick in the Sequoia lineup, with the Limited adding leather and a sunroof. The 4.7L V8 makes 273 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque paired with a four-speed automatic, and with four-wheel drive this SR5 handles snow and dirt roads well. Expect 14 mpg combined in mixed driving, which is typical for a full-size SUV of this era.
