Miles Overview
This is Toyota's first full-size pickup, built to take on the Ford F-150 and Chevy Silverado with a focus on durability. The Tundra rides smoothly and handles well for a full-size truck, with strong acceleration that makes it feel quicker than its size suggests. The extended cab's rear doors are rear-hinged, which can make loading bulky items a bit awkward, and the back seat is tight for adults. Owners report this truck stays dependable well past 160,000 miles, with common issues limited to oxygen sensors and peeling paint on older examples. With the 4.7L V8 making 245 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque, this Tundra pulls strongly from a stop and cruises easily at highway speeds, though it returns 14 mpg combined.
