Miles Overview
The 2019 Sonata is a midsize sedan that takes on the Camry, Accord, and Altima with a strong warranty and a long list of standard features. The Sonata rides smoothly and handles predictably, with the turbocharged variants adding a welcome dose of acceleration. Inside, the cabin offers generous space for four adults and a large trunk that easily swallows golf bags or luggage. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, though some owners find the infotainment interface less polished than rivals'. The SEL adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a larger touchscreen over the base SE. Its 2.4L I4 makes 187 horsepower and pairs with a automatic transmission, returning 28 mpg combined in mixed driving.
