Miles Overview
The 2018 Sonata is Hyundai's midsize sedan, offered with conventional and hybrid powertrains in a single body style. It competes with the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Ford Fusion in the crowded family-sedan segment. The Sonata drives with a composed, quiet demeanor, though the base engine can feel a bit sluggish off the line. Inside, the cabin offers a spacious rear seat and a large trunk, with easy-to-use tech features. The ECO gives up the SE's higher output for the best fuel economy in the Sonata lineup, with 31 mpg combined. Its 1.6L I4 pairs with a seven-speed automatic for smooth, efficient cruising, making it the pick if you cover lots of highway miles.
