Miles Overview
The 2019 Santa Fe is Hyundai's midsize two-row SUV, slotting between the compact Tucson and the larger three-row Palisade. It competes with the Honda Passport, Ford Edge, and Nissan Murano, offering a roomier cabin than the compact crossovers below it. The Santa Fe rides smoothly and stays composed on the highway, though the base engine can feel a bit strained when passing. Inside, the cabin is quiet and well-built, with generous rear legroom and a large cargo area that swallows luggage with ease. Standard forward collision warning and lane keeping assist help the Santa Fe earn strong safety scores across trims. Leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and the larger 8.0-inch touchscreen set the Ultimate apart from the SEL Plus below it.
