Miles Overview
The 2025 Tucson is Hyundai's compact SUV, slotting between the subcompact Kona and the three-row Santa Fe in the crossover lineup. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Mazda CX-5, offering a roomier cabin than most of them. The Tucson rides smoothly and steers with light effort, making it an easy daily driver, though the base engine can feel strained under load. The cabin is a highlight, with a wide dashboard, available dual 12.3-inch screens, and generous rear-seat and cargo space. The XRT adds rugged styling touches like black wheels and roof rails over the SEL, without stepping up to the hybrid powertrain. Its 2.5L I4 makes 187 horsepower and pairs with a eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, which is smooth around town but feels taxed on steep grades. The XRT's off-road-inspired look is mostly cosmetic, so expect the same composed on-road ride as other Tucsons, not serious trail capability.
