2022 Hyundai Tucson SEL

The 2022 Tucson is Hyundai's compact SUV, slotting between the smaller Kona and the larger Santa Fe. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Mazda CX-5, offering a distinctive look and a long warranty. The Tucson handles corners with confidence and a composed ride, though the base engine can feel a bit sluggish when accelerating. Inside, the cabin is roomy and well-built, with generous cargo space and an available panoramic sunroof that brightens the interior. Standard tech includes an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Hyundai's SmartSense safety suite. Stepping up to the SEL from the SE adds heated front seats, a power driver's seat, blind spot monitoring, and Smart Cruise Control with stop-and-go. The Smartstream 2.5L 4-Cylinder Engine w/ GDI & MPI makes 187 horsepower and pairs with a smooth eight-speed automatic, and with front-wheel drive it returns 29 mpg combined. The Convenience Package adds a hands-free power liftgate, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and wireless device charging.
