2017 Nissan Murano Platinum

The Murano is Nissan's midsize crossover, a softer, more style-forward take on the family SUV that competes with the Ford Edge and Honda Passport. It rides smoothly and quietly, with a comfortable, isolated feel that makes long trips easy, though it's not sporty in the way some rivals are. Inside, the cabin feels upscale with soft-touch materials and available quilted leather, and the rear seats fold flat for a large, usable cargo area. Some owners note that the blind spots can be tricky to see around, and the engine can be loud on cold starts, but otherwise it's been dependable. Heated and cooled front seats, a heated steering wheel, and the Bose premium audio set the Platinum apart from the SV and SL trims below it. The Around View Monitor and Moving Object Detection make parking this large crossover easier, which helps offset the thick rear pillars and limited visibility.
