2020 Nissan Murano

The 2020 Murano is Nissan's mid-size two-row crossover, slotting between the Rogue and the Pathfinder with a focus on comfort and style. It competes with the Ford Edge, Honda Passport, and Chevrolet Blazer, all offering similar space and a more car-like driving feel. The V6 provides smooth, eager acceleration, and the ride is quiet and composed, though the CVT can drone under hard throttle. Inside, the Murano offers plush zero-gravity seats, a roomy cabin, and a handsomely styled dashboard with available dual-pane moonroof. Reliability is generally good, but some owners have reported sunroof leaks and occasional electronic glitches. The S is the base Murano, so you skip the SL's leather seats and the Platinum's premium audio, but you still get the same smooth V6 and a lower starting price. Its 3.5L I6 makes 260 horsepower and pairs with a CVT and front-wheel drive, delivering a relaxed, quiet ride and 23 mpg combined. The S rides on 18-inch wheels, which soak up bumps better than the larger wheels on higher trims, but you give up the dual-zone automatic climate control that comes on the SV.
