Miles Overview
The 2016 Rogue is a compact crossover that seats five, with an optional third row on some trims for occasional extra passengers. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Ford Escape in the crowded compact SUV segment. The Rogue feels nimble in town with quick steering response, though the four-cylinder can feel strained when merging onto highways. Inside, the Rogue offers a versatile cabin with a divide-and-hide cargo system and a deep trunk well that keeps groceries from rolling around. Available safety tech includes blind spot warning, lane departure warning, and a backup camera, which owners find reassuring. A power-adjustable driver's seat and the larger infotainment screen set the SV apart from the base S trim. The 2.5L I4 pairs with a automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, delivering adequate power for daily errands but feeling strained under hard acceleration.
