Miles Overview
The 2016 Rogue is a compact crossover that seats five, with an optional third row on some trims for occasional extra passengers. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Ford Escape in the crowded compact SUV segment. The Rogue feels nimble in town with quick steering response, though the four-cylinder can feel strained when merging onto highways. Inside, the Rogue offers a versatile cabin with a divide-and-hide cargo system and a deep trunk well that keeps groceries from rolling around. Available safety tech includes blind spot warning, lane departure warning, and a backup camera, which owners find reassuring. Stepping up to the SL adds leather seats, a Bose audio system, and the Around View Monitor that makes parking simple. The 2.5L I4 pairs with a CVT that has Sport and Eco modes, and front-wheel drive keeps things light on fuel around town.
