Miles Overview
The 2012 Pathfinder is Nissan's three-row family SUV, the one you cross-shop with the Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot. It handles the road with a composed, car-like feel, and the smooth continuously variable transmission keeps things relaxed on the highway. Inside, the cabin is quiet and spacious, with comfortable leather seats, heated second-row seats, and a third row that folds flat when you need cargo room. Some owners mention minor issues like a finicky stereo or quick tire wear, but most report trouble-free miles well past 40,000. Rear-wheel drive and a lower starting price set the base Pathfinder apart from the SE and LE trims above it. The 4.0L I6 makes 266 horsepower and 288 lb-ft of torque, routed through a five-speed automatic to the rear wheels for a steady, predictable feel on pavement.
