2015 Nissan Armada Platinum

The Armada is Nissan's full-size SUV, built to carry up to eight and tow heavy loads, competing with the Tahoe and Expedition. It rides smoothly and handles its size well, with a commanding view of the road that makes it feel secure in traffic. The cabin is roomy with comfortable leather seats, though the third row is tight for adults and cargo space is limited with all seats up. Some owners mention a periodic knocking from the climate control fan and a tailgate rattle, but most report no major issues. Stepping up to the Platinum adds leather, a power liftgate, and a premium Bose audio system over the SL, plus a few extra chrome touches inside and out. The 5.6L V8 makes 317 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque, routed through a five-speed automatic to the rear-wheel drive, and returns 15 mpg combined. The Platinum's standard power-adjustable pedals and heated second-row seats are welcome on long trips, but the third row is still best left for kids.
