Miles Overview
The MDX is Acura's three-row family SUV, the one you cross-shop with the Lexus RX and the Volvo XC90. It rides smoothly and quietly, and the cabin stays hushed even at highway speeds. The interior is well built and comfortable, though it doesn't feel as luxurious as some rivals. With the third row up, there's room for six adults but barely any cargo space behind it. This front-wheel drive MDX is the straightforward starting point with Acura's standard powertrain and the essential tech features like the 8-inch infotainment screen and multi-angle backup camera. The 3.5L V6 makes 290 horsepower and pairs with a nine-speed automatic that shifts smoothly; front-wheel drive keeps things simple and helps fuel economy. You don't get the torque-vectoring rear differential of AWD trims, so this MDX understeers more when pushed but rides slightly lighter on its feet day to day.
