Miles Overview
The 2019 RDX is Acura's compact luxury SUV, slotting between the smaller CDX and the three-row MDX. It competes with the Audi Q5 and BMW X3, offering a lower starting price and more standard features. The RDX handles crisply for an SUV, with sharp steering and a composed ride, though the transmission can hesitate in stop-and-go traffic. The cabin is roomy and well-built, with comfortable seats and a generous cargo area, but the touchpad infotainment takes getting used to. Owners appreciate the RDX's reliability, strong safety suite, and value, though some find the voice recognition inaccurate. All-wheel drive and the 2.0L I4 set the Base apart from the front-drive Standard trim, adding traction in rain or snow. The 2.0L I4 makes 272 horsepower and pairs with the ten-speed automatic, giving it punchy acceleration around town. You get the same sharp handling as pricier trims, but the Base skips the larger touchscreen and parking sensors.
