Miles Overview
The H3 is Hummer's mid-size SUV, the one that blends that unmistakable boxy look with genuine off-road chops. It rides high and feels planted on rough terrain, though the wide body makes it a handful to park in tight spots. Inside, you get a tall seating position and plenty of room for cargo, but the cabin can feel cramped for front passengers. Owners mention that with age, parts and upkeep costs climb, and some have dealt with suspension and electrical gremlins. The H3 Base is the entry model, giving you the same boxy styling and four-wheel drive as the pricier trims without the extra luxuries. Its 3.7L I5 makes 242 horsepower and pairs with a five-speed automatic, which is enough to get you up steep trails but feels strained on the highway.
