2024 Buick Enclave Essence

The Enclave is Buick's largest SUV, a three-row family hauler that prioritizes quiet comfort over sporty pretensions. It competes with the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and Kia Telluride in the crowded three-row crossover segment. The V6 provides ample power for merging and passing, though the transmission can occasionally hesitate when downshifting. The ride is smooth and well controlled, with a hushed cabin that makes long trips feel effortless. Inside, the Enclave seats up to seven with a spacious second row and a usable third row for kids. The Essence comes with heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a hands-free power liftgate that the base trim doesn't offer. Its 3.6L V6 makes 310 horsepower and pairs with a nine-speed automatic, returning 21 mpg combined in front-wheel drive. The standard tri-zone automatic climate control keeps rear passengers comfortable on long drives, and the 8-inch touchscreen includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
