2019 Buick Enclave Essence

The Enclave is Buick's three-row family SUV, the one you cross-shop with the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. It drives smoothly and quietly, with a heavy feel that soaks up bumps, though it's not quick at highway speeds. Inside, there's generous legroom in all three rows and plenty of cargo space behind the third row. Standard tech includes a rear-view camera, rear parking sensors, and available blind spot monitoring and forward collision warning. Stepping up to the Essence adds leather seating, heated front seats, and blind-spot monitoring, while skipping the Premium's power-folding third row and larger wheels. Underhood is a 3.6L V6 paired with a nine-speed automatic driving front-wheel drive, returning 21 mpg combined. The Essence also brings an in-vehicle air ionizer and a power hands-free liftgate as standard, two things you won't get on the base Preferred.
