Miles Overview
The MDX is Acura's three-row luxury SUV, the one families cross-shop against the QX60 and Highlander. It drives smoothly and quietly, though the transmission can hesitate at low speeds around town. The cabin feels upscale with quality materials, and the second and third rows offer decent space for a family. AcuraWatch safety tech is available on many trims, and the Technology package adds navigation and a premium audio system. The Technology trim adds the premium audio and navigation that make the MDX feel more like a luxury SUV, while skipping the Advance's air suspension and upgraded leather. Its 3.5L V6 makes 290 horsepower and drives the front wheels through a nine-speed automatic, which is smooth on the highway but can feel hesitant in stop-and-go traffic.
