Miles Overview
The 2023 Honda Pilot is a three-row family SUV that slots above the CR-V and takes on the Toyota Highlander, Kia Telluride, and Ford Explorer. The V6 is smooth and willing, and the transmission shifts crisply, making the Pilot feel more athletic than its size suggests. The ride is composed and quiet on the highway, though the suspension is tuned firm enough that you'll feel sharp bumps. The cabin is roomy and practical, with a spacious third row that folds flat and a large cargo area behind it. A 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard on most trims, and the available digital gauge cluster is clear and configurable. The LX is the base Pilot, skipping the Sport and EX-L trims' niceties but keeping the same V6 and safety gear. This LX has all-wheel drive and a ten-speed automatic married to a 3.5L V6 that makes 285 horsepower, good for 21 mpg combined.
