Miles Overview
The 2023 Passport is Honda's two-row midsize SUV, slotting between the compact CR-V and the three-row Pilot. It competes with the Ford Edge, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Jeep Grand Cherokee, all offering similar space and capability. The V6 delivers strong acceleration and a smooth, refined character, making highway merging effortless. The ride is composed and quiet on the highway, though the suspension can feel firm over sharp bumps. Cargo space is generous behind the second row, and the rear seats fold flat to swallow bulky items. The Elite is the fully loaded Passport, adding ventilated front seats, a premium 10-speaker audio system, and navigation that the TrailSport and EX-L don't offer. Its 3.5L V6 makes 280 horsepower and works with a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, returning 21 mpg combined. The Elite's i-VTM4 all-wheel-drive system can send up to 70 percent of torque to the rear axle and vector it side-to-side, helping it rotate through corners.
