Miles Overview
The 2020 Honda Pilot is a three-row family SUV that seats up to eight, slotting between the Passport and the Odyssey in Honda's lineup. It competes with the Toyota Highlander, Ford Explorer, and Kia Telluride, offering a roomier cabin than most. The V6 provides smooth, confident acceleration, and the ride is composed, though the nine-speed can occasionally hesitate in low-speed shifts. With three rows and clever storage, the Pilot is practical for families, though third-row access is narrow and cargo space behind the third row is tight. Black Edition styling, including unique blacked-out trim and 20-inch wheels, sets this trim apart from the Elite below it. The 3.5L V6 makes 280 horsepower and pairs with a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, delivering smooth power for highway merging and passing. The Black Edition adds red ambient lighting and red-stitched leather seats, giving the cabin a sportier feel than other Pilots.
