Miles Overview
The 2012 Pilot is Honda's three-row SUV, a roomy family hauler that competes with the Toyota Highlander and Ford Explorer. Inside, you get a practical cabin with clever storage cubbies everywhere, and the middle row easily fits three car seats across. With all three rows up, cargo space is tight, but fold the rear seats and you'll have plenty of room for luggage. The LX is the base Pilot, so you trade the EX's convenience features for a lower price, keeping the same 3.5L V6 and four-wheel drive. Its 3.5L V6 makes 250 horsepower and pairs with a five-speed automatic, which feels smooth but not as quick as the six-speed in the Touring.
