Miles Overview
The Pilot is Honda's three-row family SUV, a direct rival to the Toyota Highlander and Ford Explorer for those needing room for eight. It drives more like a car than a truck, with a quiet cabin and a smooth ride that makes long trips easy. All three rows offer decent comfort, and the middle row fits three car seats across, though the third row is a bit snug for adults. The third row folds flat to open up generous cargo space, and there are cubbies and drink holders throughout the cabin. A navigation system, rear-seat DVD entertainment, and a premium audio setup mark the Touring as the top Pilot trim. Its 3.5L V6 makes 250 horsepower and pairs with a five-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, returning 18 mpg combined.
