Miles Overview
This is BMW's two-seat roadster, a rear-drive sports car that's all about open-air driving and sharp responses. The steering is quick and precise, and the car corners flat with little body roll, making it a joy on twisty roads. The ride is firm, especially over broken pavement, which is the trade-off for that handling. Inside, the cabin feels well-built with quality materials, though the cupholders are flimsy and taller drivers may find the cockpit snug. The 3.0si splits the difference between the base 3.0i and the top M Roadster, trading the M's V8 for a strong inline-six that's smoother and more relaxed on the highway. The coupe body adds rigidity over the roadster, sharpening turn-in, and the hatchback gives you 12.0 cubic feet of cargo space of usable storage for weekend trips.
