Miles Overview
The Z3 is BMW's two-seat roadster, the one that revived the brand's affordable sports-car spirit in the 1990s and early 2000s. It's a joy on winding roads, with sharp steering and a chassis that loves to change direction quickly. The cabin is snug but well built, and the trunk is surprisingly roomy for a car this size. Owners mention the soft top can leak and the shifter can feel notchy, especially in early cars. In the Z3 lineup, the 3.0i sits above the 2.5i and gets a bigger six and sharper response in exchange for a higher starting price. Its 3.0L I6 makes 225 horsepower and pulls smoothly from low revs, and the five-speed automatic delivers relaxed highway cruising at 26 mpg highway.
