Miles Overview
The Z3 is BMW's two-seat roadster, the one that revived the brand's affordable sports-car spirit in the 1990s and early 2000s. It's a joy on winding roads, with sharp steering and a chassis that loves to change direction quickly. The cabin is snug but well built, and the trunk is surprisingly roomy for a car this size. Owners mention the soft top can leak and the shifter can feel notchy, especially in early cars. The 2.5i is the entry-level Z3, and it's the one to pick if you want the roadster experience without the 3.0i's extra power and price. Its 2.5L I6 makes 184 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque, routed through a five-speed automatic to the rear wheels, which is enough for lively back-road fun but not neck-snapping. The 2.5i came on 16-inch wheels as standard, and the ride is compliant enough for daily use without feeling floaty.
