Miles Overview
The Tacoma is Toyota's compact pickup, a smaller and more maneuverable alternative to full-size trucks like the Ford F-150. The cab is snug, often a true two-seater with a center console, so plan for limited passenger space. Owners routinely report crossing 180,000 miles without major repairs, and the truck shrugs off unpaved roads. Leather upholstery and a premium sound system mark out the Limited as the top-trim Tacoma for 1999. The 3.4L V6 makes 183 horsepower and pairs with four-wheel drive, so you get confident traction on loose gravel or wet pavement. Expect a firmer ride than the base Tacoma, since the Limited's suspension is tuned for on-road comfort rather than heavy off-roading.
