Miles Overview
The Avalon is Toyota's full-size sedan, the roomy, comfortable choice if you're after a big four-door that isn't a luxury badge. It's a smooth, quiet cruiser that eats up highway miles, and the TRD trim adds a firmer suspension and sharper steering for a sportier feel. The cabin is genuinely spacious, with generous rear legroom and a trunk that swallows luggage for road trips. Every Avalon comes with a large touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Toyota Safety Sense as standard. The TRD is the performance-oriented Avalon, with a firmer suspension, blacked-out styling, and a sport exhaust that sets it apart from the Touring and the Limited. It's powered by a 3.5L V6 making 301 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque, sent through an eight-speed automatic to front-wheel drive, good for 25 mpg combined. The chassis tuning is unique to this trim, with stiffer springs and dampers plus a cat-back exhaust that lets the V6 sing on throttle.
