Miles Overview
The Avalon is Toyota's full-size sedan, the roomy, cushy choice above the Camry for buyers who want a big, quiet highway cruiser. It's a relaxed, smooth operator rather than a sporty one, with a soft ride that soaks up highway miles effortlessly. The cabin is genuinely spacious, with a huge trunk and rear seats that recline on some trims, making it a great road-trip car. Owners note the interior headliner can sag over time and the paint is prone to chipping, but the drivetrain itself is famously durable. The Touring adds a sport-tuned suspension and paddle shifters over the XLS, giving it a firmer, more connected feel without the Limited's luxury extras. Its 3.5L V6 pairs with a five-speed automatic transmission for smooth, responsive power, and the Touring's stiffer springs make it feel more eager through corners than other Avalons.
