Miles Overview
The 2018 Avalon is Toyota's full-size sedan, the one you pick when you want a roomy, quiet cruiser rather than a sporty compact. It's a comfortable highway car that feels smooth and composed, with a firm ride that's the trade-off for its stable handling. The cabin is a highlight, with plush seats, a quiet interior at speed, and plenty of space for four adults. The trunk is generous, though the rear seats don't fold flat, so you'll rely on the small pass-through for long items. The Touring adds a sport-tuned suspension and paddle shifters over the XLE Plus, sharpening the Avalon's handling without losing its highway comfort. Its 3.5L V6 makes 268 horsepower and pairs with a automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, delivering smooth, effortless acceleration for passing and merging. The Touring's firmer suspension and quicker steering make it the most engaging Avalon to drive, though the ride is noticeably stiffer than the Limited's.
