2022 Subaru Ascent Touring

The 2022 Ascent is Subaru's three-row family SUV, slotting above the Outback and competing with the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and Kia Telluride. The turbocharged engine gives the Ascent confident passing power, and the standard all-wheel drive keeps it planted in rain and snow. The Ascent's cabin offers generous space for seven or eight passengers, with the third row best suited to kids and cargo room that expands with the seats folded. Subaru's EyeSight driver-assist suite is standard, and the available Starlink infotainment system includes smartphone integration and a large touchscreen. The Touring is the top Ascent, adding leather, ventilated seats, and a Harman Kardon stereo that the Limited doesn't have. Its 2.4L I4 makes 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque, paired with a CVT and all-wheel drive, and it returns 22 mpg combined. The Touring's exclusive Java Brown leather and woodgrain trim give the cabin a more upscale feel than any other Ascent.
