Miles Overview
The 2022 Ascent is Subaru's three-row family SUV, slotting above the Outback and competing with the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and Kia Telluride. The turbocharged engine gives the Ascent confident passing power, and the standard all-wheel drive keeps it planted in rain and snow. The Ascent's cabin offers generous space for seven or eight passengers, with the third row best suited to kids and cargo room that expands with the seats folded. Subaru's EyeSight driver-assist suite is standard, and the available Starlink infotainment system includes smartphone integration and a large touchscreen. The Premium adds a power-adjustable driver's seat, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a larger touchscreen over the base model. The 2.4L I4 makes 260 horsepower and pairs with a automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, returning 23 mpg combined. The Premium is the only trim where you can get a second-row bench seat for eight-passenger seating.
