The Crosstrek handles like a tall hatchback, with direct steering and a composed ride; the 2.5-liter provides adequate passing power, while the base engine feels leisurely. The cabin offers a straightforward layout with good outward visibility, and the rear seats fold flat to expand the cargo area for weekend gear.
